Enter the Box: Introducing Intuition.box Quests

Introducing Intuition.box Quests: focused challenges that surface useful work, open it to the community, and reward the strongest contributions.

Zet, Saulo, Pixi3Quests, Community, Ecosystem, Contributors

There’s no shortage of useful work to be done across the Intuition.box subDAO and the wider Intuition ecosystem.

Some needs call for research. Others need design, writing, experimentation, technical work or a fresh set of eyes. Intuition.box Quests are a way to put those needs in front of the community, give each one a clear scope and reward the strongest solutions.

Enter the Box is the first Intuition.box Quests campaign.

What is a Quest?

A Quest is a focused challenge built around a specific need or problem within Intuition.box or the wider Intuition ecosystem.

Every Quest will come with its own brief explaining:

  • The problem or opportunity
  • The work being requested
  • The required deliverables
  • How submissions will be judged
  • The submission deadline
  • The available rewards

The format may change from one Quest to another. One might ask for a written explanation, another for a design, prototype, research contribution, creative concept or working piece of infrastructure.

What remains consistent is the structure: a defined task, an open call for solutions and rewards for the strongest work.

Who can participate?

Anyone.

There is no application process and no requirement to already be an Intuition.box contributor. If you understand the brief and believe you can produce a strong submission, you can take part.

You may enter individually or as a team unless the Quest states otherwise. If you submit as a team, every contributor must be clearly named in the submission.

Submissions are judged on the quality of the work, not how early you joined the ecosystem, how large your audience is or how quickly you entered.

How to participate

Each Quest will be announced on the Intuition.box Discord and posted by @intuition_box on X.

To participate:

  1. Read the complete Quest brief, including its deliverables, rules and deadline.
  2. Create your submission according to the Quest brief.
  3. Reply to the Quest’s X post with your finished work.
  4. Submit the X reply and a direct link to your work in the corresponding Discord submission thread.

The X reply gives your work a public place to be seen and discussed. The Discord submission allows us to keep entries organized and provides the official record used for judging.

If you do not use X, you can submit your work directly through Discord. Participating on X is encouraged, but it is not required.

An X reply on its own will not count as a completed entry. Every participant must register their final submission in the relevant Discord thread before the deadline.

What makes a valid submission?

Unless a particular Quest introduces additional requirements, every submission must:

  • Respond directly to the Quest brief
  • Include all requested deliverables
  • Be original work created by the participant or stated team
  • Be submitted before the deadline
  • Include a direct, accessible link to the finished work
  • Clearly identify everyone who contributed
  • Remain available while judging is underway

Copied, incomplete, inaccessible or late entries may be removed from consideration. Work that does not meaningfully address the brief may also be excluded.

Every Quest may introduce additional rules based on the type of work involved. Read the individual brief carefully before starting.

How will submissions be judged?

Judging criteria will be published with each Quest, but submissions will generally be assessed on:

Relevance
Does the work address the stated need and follow the brief?

Execution
Is the submission complete, functional and thoughtfully produced?

Usefulness
Can the result be used, applied or built upon by its intended audience?

Originality
Does the submission demonstrate independent thinking rather than simply repeating existing work?

Clarity
Is the work presented well enough to be understood and evaluated?

The importance of each criterion may vary depending on the Quest. A research challenge and a design challenge should not be judged in exactly the same way, so the individual brief will always take precedence.

Rewards

Quest rewards will vary depending on the scope and difficulty of the work.

Unless a Quest states otherwise, rewards will go to the three strongest eligible submissions. The exact reward breakdown will be included in the announcement for each Quest.

Submitting early does not improve your position. All valid entries received before the deadline will be reviewed on their merits.

Different Quests, different timelines

Not every useful problem fits the same schedule.

Each Quest will have its own duration, deadline and review period. Some may run for a few days, while more involved challenges may remain open longer.

All timing information will be included in the individual Quest announcement, so make sure you check the deadline before beginning your submission.

Enter the Box

The goal of Quests is straightforward: surface work that matters, open it to the community and give strong contributions the recognition and reward they deserve.

The first Quests will be announced soon.

When you find one that fits what you do, read the brief, make your case through the work and enter the box.

Follow your intuition. Always. 👁️
